Origin of the days and months.

The days and months are named agree to the planets, numbers and the gods.

Origin of the days:
Monday: Day of the moon
Tuesday: Day of Tiw, god of the war, or day of Mars.
Wednesday: Day of Odin, or day of Mercury.
Thursday: Day of Thor, or day of Jupiter.
Friday: Day of Freya, or day of Venus.
Saturday: Day of Saturn, or day of Cronos.
and.. Sunday: Day of the Sun.

Oigin of the months:
January: His name was given in honor of Janos the Roman god of gates and beginnings.

February: Named after the Roman Februatio, Februalia, or purification festival celebrated in the fifteenth century.

March: Named in honor of the god Mars, Roman god of war. Month in which the military campaigns began.

April: It is derived from the Latin aperire (open) a possible reference to the opening of the flowers in this spring season in the northern hemisphere.

May: Maia comes from the Roman goddess of fertility.

June: It comes from the Roman goddess of fertility Juno.

July: His name was assigned by Julius Caesar in honor of himself in 44 B.C.

August: Named after the first Roman emperor, Augustus Caesar in the year 8 B.C.

September: Its name is derived from the Latin "septem" (seven).

October: Initially ranked eighth in the Roman calendar hence the origin of its name, from the Latin "octo" (eight).

November: Its name is derived from the Latin word "Novem" (nine) for its initial location in the Roman calendar.

December: Its name is derived from the Latin "decem" (ten) indicating its initial position in the Roman calendar.
